Fundraising site for my 2yrs old son who suffers a rare form of epilepsy which has taken control of his life and who we need to raise funds to take to america to get him the chance of a better quality of life!!!
Carter is a 2yr old boy who suffers a rare form of epilpsy suffering anything up ten seizures a day which doctors here in Nothern Ireland have been unable to diagnose treat or control which has left our son unable to walk, talk, oral feed and do anything that a normal 2yr old boy should be doing for his age, he feeds from a gastrostomy tube in his stomach and spends his daily life sitting in a chair.
Carter has currently been on over 20 anti-convulsants and 3 steroid treaments to try and control seizures he currently takes a cocktail of drugs daily but still continues to have seizures. I am currently fundraising to raise £180,000 to take my son to Chicago where Dr Nordili is willing to investigate his condition and give me the answers I have long been waiting for.
This might also give carter a second chance at life and give him the best quality of life that he deserves. We have been to Great Ormond Street in August of last year and up til now have heard nothing back from them. Now I have taken the matter into my own hands to get my son the treatment he deserves so please everyone this is impossible to do alone but with the support of our local community it isn't unreachable we would really appreciate your help!!!
